  1. Free Murphy bed plans are relatively easy to find if you do a little research on the internet. You will find the basics on building murphy bed and information about the necessary hardware. But as far as choices of designs, recommended material, list of what you need and how to proceed instructions, you are pretty much on your own.

  3. I bought a light kit from Rockler for my Create-A-Bed but the plans only show installing the light units. Included was a female threaded 1/2" dia simple brass knob about 1" tall and a male brass screw for the knob. This is evidently a 'touch dimmer switch".There are no instructions on how to mount this knob to the head board (additional mounting holes etc). How is this attached to the headboard ?
    Thanks

  4. We bought a Rockler create-a-bed deluxe kit. My question is about the hydraulic struts. Are the adjustable? The bed won't stay down without additional weight.

  5. We just finished a king size create-a-bed. We were able to make it king size because we used a sleep number system. Because the it is air chambers we had to add weight. We filled vacuum seal baby with sand then secured them between the face board and the board that supports the bed. We found that if you move the bags closer to the foot it made it easier to compensate for the bed. You need to add only the amount of weight to stop the bed from floating and remains on the floor but not so much that it is hard to lift or hold up.
